General News:

• The team aims to publish the State of the BAT 2023 next week. It will feature a recap of 2022 & a overview of plans for 2023.
• Brave's new VP of Growth, Chris, started at BRAVE last week. He's getting fully immersed and gathering input from all the different teams. Once he has gotten situated in his new role, we may have him on a Community Call.

BAT Community:

• Upcoming Twitter Space with this Friday. Kikiverse is a Watch to Earn platform (W2E) and NFT project. They will be joining the Brave Wallet partner program soon. They plan to giveaway 2 free mints to the BAT Community, one to someone attending to the upcoming Twitter Space and the other to a BAT x Adam Ape Holder. More info available in the DISCLAIMER: Since the Community Call, it has become likely that the Twitter Space with Kikiverse will be postpone until next week. Thus it is likely this week's space will be a general community discussion event or be cancelled.
• The Sage & NFT Burn: The team will lockdown the burn date for creating the Sage NFT soon. It'll probably happen early February, but nothing is set in stone yet. They are continuing to work with Cardinal, which will be hosting the burn. The team is exploring new BAT NFT collaborations with various artists and is working with other internal Brave teams on utility options. 
• The Brave Community team has been working on a Twitter Spaces Archive on Notion with written recaps and links to recordings. They're also planning to do the same with BAT Community Calls and to revive the Weekly BAT newsletter.

Brave Browser:

• Solana dApp support has been implemented on mobile Android (version 1.47).
• Since last summer's market shift & the beginning of the bear market, the Brave Team has been focusing more on growing DAU (Daily Active Users) rather than MAU (Monthly Active Users). They want to strengthen retention, grow the base of users that's going to be using the Brave products and is likely to adopt Brave's various product lines for the long-term, even when the markets are down. To do so, they're working on bringing more utility to BAT through the browser & the wallet and doing more NFT & web3 gaming collaborations.

Brave Search:

• AI summarizer is coming to Brave Search. Here is a sneak peak from Brendan Eich:

• Brave Search Ads Beta: The team continues to gather data and feedback from participating beta testing advertisers, such as Ledger.

Brave Ads:

• The team is working to bring in a broader variety of advertisers. Currently, advertisers are mainly crypto related companies.

Brave Rewards:

• Currently, 61 countries are supported. The team is currently speaking with another potential custodial partner that is well positioned to provide what's needed to bring in additional regional support.

Upcoming Events:

• BAT Brigade Weekly Trivia will be this Friday January 27, 2023 at 12:00 pm ET. The event occurs in the  section of the BAT Brigade Discord server. Participants can win sBAT for correctly answering question. There is also often some BAT given out to community members just for participating.
• BAT Community Twitter Space is likely happening this Friday, January 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM. It is unclear if Kikiverse will still be a guest this week. If not, then the Space will be a community hangout and discussion event or less likely it will be cancelled.
