Ethereum has recently launched the Beacon Chain, a pos consensus chain. The validators will therefore already be able to deposit ETH on the chain which, once the threshold of 524288 ETH is reached, the Beacon Chain will validate the transactions.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Phase 0 has numerous advantages, including better scalability (more transactions), more sustainable (less energy consumption) and greater security.
This is just the beginning, in the subsequent phases of the update new features will be introduced that will further improve performance and scalability.
This is important news especially in a period where everything requires greater commitment to protect the environment.
