It is now less than 10 hours before we get to the Ethereum 2.0, which is set on December 1st, 2020 (8.00pm) the UTC. I am very exited to keep monitor for this transition. To celebrate on this, so I would just like to share some content about the Ethereum.
I am very interested in the Symbol of things, and one that catches my heart is the perfectly beatiful Ethereum symbol. Actually I am not a perfectionist but I am just the one who like to learn for the meaning of symbols. My interpreting to the Ethereum may not in the right way in what a designer had on his conceptual thoughts. This is just my sense and would like to share in what it related to.
The Ethereum symbol looks like 2 pyramids attached by its square base, there are 8 faces and 6 vertexes. It is one of the Plato's (ancient Greek philisopher) Platonic solids.
It is the believes by the ancient that all thing in this world are from the 4 fundamental elements ; Earth, Water, Wind and Fire. Then Plato tried to explain the shape of these elements on how each element shape looks like. The Ethereum symbol represents on one of the Platonic solids.
There are 5 solids by Platonic solids; Tetrahedron for Fire,Hexahedron for Earth,Octahedron for Wind,Icosahedron for Water and Dodecahedron for Universe. The shape of Ethereum represents to the Wind by this scheme and called Octahedron shape.
This Octahedron also appears in our real world and touchable. One of the valuable well known is in the crystal form called Diamonds. The Diamond is from the pressurized carbon , uses for wedding as a sign of love and forever ,also signs for victory for some cultures
So, for the fundamental ideas of the Ethereum scheme, I believe it brings us an new innovative, valuable and victory to the future. To celebrate this, have some ETH with you for a fortunes.
