The Best Moment of the Whole Season
One of the most beautiful elements of SPLINTERLANDS by far opening a chest.
The sense of expectation and hope that you feel every time you proceed to open one is what most of all keeps you enticed, day after day, to log on the game and which, in so many ways, even in those moments when you would like to give up everything, persuades you to look for a new compromise or a solution that might allow you to experience that little thrill again the following day.
I have no doubt, therefore, that the best moment of an entire Season is precisely embodied in its conclusion, when finally all the hard-won chests become available for being opened, letting us cross our fingers over and over again with the hope to finally find a spectacular prize!
The thrill of discovery is a bit like a drug that is impossible to get addicted to, leading us to always want more, pushing us to do better than the day before and to plan improvements for the future.
When I think about it, if it hadn't been for these magical little chests I probably wouldn't have been able to stick with Splinterlands all this time, especially since I'm not a veteran player and I joined just when things started to get more complicated: I had to sweat every single card and my earnings were always very small, no matter how much time and energy I could spend on the game.
I had so many lows and so few highs, and yet, every time I thought about stopping and giving up, the idea of trying my luck one last time came back to my mind, making me wonder if maybe the next day would be the day of reckoning, in which months and months of gaming would be justified by a spectacular prize...
And although that prize to this day has still never arrived, other than in little drops, I'm still here, pumping out Splinterlands-themed posts, playing every single brawl avidly, and checking every morning what rewards the Archmage bot got the day before - well, I've said that here and there I've had to make compromises, and the bot is clearly one of them ?? - because somewhere in my head a little voice keeps repeating itself: but only me never comes up with a freaking Golden Legendary? ?? Possibly from a Chaos Legion packet, as I can't resell Soulbound cards to upgrade my collection!
Well, the momentum of this Season's magic is also over and now all that's left is to go back and hope for the next one....
And how did the Season go for you? Were your hopes fulfilled or did you have to settle for the usual unspecified - and vaguely useless - number of potions?

Il Miglior Momento dell'Intera Stagione
Una delle cose piu belle di Splinterlands e sicuramente l'apertura dei forzieri.
Il senso di attesa e speranza che si prova ogni volta che si procede ad aprirne uno e cio che piu di tutto ti invoglia, giorno dopo giorno, a collegarti sul gioco e che, per tanti versi, anche nei momenti in cui vorresti mollare tutto, ti convince a cercare un nuovo compromesso o una soluzione che ti possa consentire di riprovare quel piccolo brivido anche il giorno seguente.
Non ho dubbi, percio, che il momento piu bello di una intera Stagione sia rappresentato proprio dalla sua conclusione, quando finalmente tutti i forzieri faticosamente accumulati diventano disponibili per essere aperti, consentendoci di incrociare le dita piu e piu volte nella speranza di trovare finalmente un premio spettacolare!
Il brivido della scoperta e un po' come una droga a cui non e possibile assuefarsi, che ci porta a volerne sempre di piu, spronandoci a fare meglio del giorno prima ed a progettare miglioramenti per il futuro.
Se ci penso, se non fosse stato per questi piccoli e magici forzieri probabilmente non sarei riuscito a restare attaccato a Splinterlands per tutto questo tempo, soprattutto perche non sono un giocatore veterano e sono arrivato proprio quando le cose hanno cominciato a farsi piu complicate: mi sono dovuto sudare ogni singola carta ed i miei guadagni sono stati sempre ridottissimi, a prescindere da quanto tempo ed energie potessi dedicare al gioco.
Ho avuto tanti bassi e pochi alti, eppure, ogni volta che pensavo di fermarmi e mollare tutto, l'idea di tentare un'ultima volta la fortuna tornava ad accarezzarmi la mente, portandomi a chiedere se forse il giorno dopo sarebbe stato quello della rivalsa, in cui mesi e mesi di gioco sarebbero stati giustificati da un premio spettacolare...
E anche se quel premio ad oggi non e ancora mai arrivato, se non a piccole gocce, sono ancora qua, a sfornare post a tema Splinterlands, giocare assiduamente ogni singola brawl e controllare ogni mattina quali ricompense ha ottenuto l'Archmage bot il giorno prima - be', l'ho detto che qui e la ho dovuto fare dei compromessi, ed il bot e chiaramente uno di questi ?? - perche da qualche parte nella mia testa uno vocetta continua a ripetersi: ma solo a me non esce mai fuori una cavolo di Leggendaria Dorata? ?? Possibilmente da una bustina del set Chaos Legion, che le carte Soulbound non posso rivenderle per potenziare il resto della mia collezione!
E niente, anche la magia di questa Stagione e terminata ed adesso non resta che tornare a sperare nella prossima...
