End of hibernation; The first Zcash hard fork called Overwinter

Zcash, one of the oldest cryptocurrencies altcoins, has finally made its first hard fork. This update happened on June 26 in block 347500. As previously announced, the name of this hard fork is Overwinter, and according to the team, this fork has made many changes in the protocol and network capability, and can be the prelude to more forks.

One of the important changes in this update is the activation of the transaction cancellation feature. This feature allows network nodes to cancel transactions that are not in the blockchain for any reason, after 20 blocks (approximately 50 minutes). In addition, the creation of this fork paved the way for future forks. In October, a fork called Sapling is scheduled to take place. The developers of the fork team have also announced that there will be positive changes in transaction speed and scalability, and that more privacy will be provided for transactions.

Zee Cash has released a two-year roadmap since its inception, announcing that it intends to ultimately create the most privacy and confidentiality for the network. Of course, this may cause problems for this altcoin, because governments are very sensitive to the lack of transparency in these currencies, and at the same time we have seen a lot of research on digital currencies, especially Monroe and ZeeCash.

What do you think about this Altcoin? Is this amount of confidentiality necessary for this industry?
