In order to showcase that we are committed to building a functioning protocol and not releasing something subpar for the purpose of a quick cash grab, we are hosting a secondary Alpha test net for our protocol to iron out any issues we discovered during our Alpha 1.0 test net.
Subject to any issues or improvements we need to make to the DApp, the success of the Alpha 2.0 testing period will enable us to pursue our planned Initial Decentralized Exchange Offerings (IDO) activities, as well as signal the DApp is in ‘Beta’ stage which will allow for an incentivized global testing period in the form of a trading competition
We are reopening the role of ‘OG’ in the form of ‘OGtwo’, which will enable participants of the test net to receive a token airdrop post-launch of the protocol.
Test Net Details
The alpha test net will be conducted on the 15th of October, 2022. Participants will be able to access a faucet in order to collect relevant tokens required for trading, minting ELP, and accessing other functions available on the DApp.
As per our roadmap, the initial Perpetual Contract Exchange will be the subject of the alpha test net event. Participants will be able to test all features of the exchange and provide feedback & get acquainted with relevant offerings of the EDE protocol.
Note: The test net will either be conducted on the BNB or AVAX test network. Please ensure you’re keeping up to date with our Twitter and Discord announcements.
Participation Rewards
As mentioned earlier, we wish to encourage members of our community with the rank ‘OG’ & ‘OGtwo’ to participate in testing. Therefore, we will be collecting wallet addresses of those with the rank ‘OGtwo’ in our Discord, and members who participate in the public test net event will be airdropped $alphaEDE tokens shortly after the official launch of the project.
Many ‘OG’ participants of Alpha 1.0 have tested the App and no longer need further testing, but we still encourage everyone to test. The wallet collection from this testing phase will mainly focus on ‘OGtwo’ participants or ‘OG’ members who didn’t test during Alpha 1.0.
In addition, for those who participate in the test net and create relevant tutorials or informational videos about the protocol, we will appraise the quality of their work and provide additional $alphaEDE airdrops for their submission.
Bug Bounty Reward
To further incentivize testing and ensure any relevant security flaw at the contract level is identified, any participant who identifies a significant security flaw with the protocol will be rewarded $alphaEDE tokens, depending on the severity of the issue identified.
Can I test regardless of being an OG or OGtwo?
Yes, testing will be open to everyone and there are no strict requirements to be able to participate in testing as there is a publicly accessible faucet on our DApp open to everyone.
The purpose of OG & OGtwo is to reward early testers who have gone the extra mile with an airdrop post-launch of the project as a thank-you for being with us throughout our journey.
How to become an OGtwo?
For those who don’t currently possess the Discord rank ‘OGtwo’, there are several ways this can be easily obtained, but spots will be limited for selected activities.
Option A to obtain OGtwo is limited to the first 30 individuals. Option A requirements are:
- Discord Server Booster — The next 15 members to boost the server will be granted the rank ‘OGtwo’. (Counting from the 28th booster)
- Content Creation — Creating information about the protocol in the form of TikTok or Youtube shorts video. The videos will be appraised to ensure high-quality content will be rewarded and the video creators will get the ‘OGtwo’ role.
Option B to obtain ‘OGtwo’ requires of the following requirements to be completed. These requirements are:
- Discord invites — 25 successful invites to the server must be obtained.
- Discord rank of 12 — Users must have a Discord rank of 12 or above.
- Retweets & comments of 4 or more individual posts on Twitter — We will be tweeting from our Twitter account EDE Finance over the course of next week and any user who is going for ‘OGtwo’ must retweet & comment whatever hashtags we use on that tweet, for up to 4 tweets.
Upon completion of the above requirements, please open a ticket in our Discord, and post evidence of fulfilling the requirements. Please only do this when you have completed of the Option B requirements.
Note: If you are caught abusing either the inviting using J4J tactics or incessantlyspamming the Discord to level up, you will receive consequences for your actions and may be disqualified from the OGtwo role.
