This bullrun is special. The massive adoption is coming. GAFAM and huge companies are implementing crypto in their environment in order to not be the "boomer" that missed the new revolutionary technology.
The CEO confirmed they're studying it
Jamie Iannone, eBay's CEO, has recently said that users will be able to purchase their objects with cryptocurrencies. He precisely said that "they're permanently looking for the best payment solutions and are still evolving in that way".
Indeed, it seems obvious that with 185 million users, there is a huge and growing interest in crypto and eBay should give the opportunity to be able to buy with BTC and altcoins.
However, I didn't find which tokens were suggested by eBay to be integrated in their website.
Becoming a NFT platform ?
The platform also wants to be a pioneer in the Non Fungible Token world. Again, the CEO is explaining that the collector items have always existed on eBay and will always be remaining.
Is eBay surfing on the NFT recent wave ? I don't really know but what is sure is that eBay is trying his best not to miss the crypto-train.
Also, and it is very important to mention it, eBay was more or less publicly "against" the cryptocurrencies. This switch of opinion seems to be a little bit strange and opportunistic.
