Aavegotchi is on an announcement streak lately, as they launched Season 3 of Rarity Farming earlier today. The farming event will distribute a total of $375,000 worth of GHST tokens to the top 7,500 players in each leaderboard category.
Rarity farming is a play-to-earn mechanic that is designed to reward the most engaged members of the Aavegotchi ecosystem. These events reward players for making their Gotchi NFTs as rare as possible. Equipping them with wearable NFTs, petting them twice daily, and participating in XP events can lead to GHST token rewards. Importantly, players can earn rewards across three leaderboard categories: Rarity, Kinship, and XP.
Importantly, the distribution of the rewards pool is not equal among the three categories. As this is a rarity farming event, the rarity leaderboard will get 70% of the $375,000 worth of GHST tokens in the pool. Kinship winners will split 20% of the pool, while XP leaders will benefit from 10% of the rewards pool.
With the launch of season 3 of rarity farming on March 10, the Aavegotchi community has started buzzing with excitement. Rarity farming is one of the ways to make a passive income from your Aavegotchi NFTs. Players who want to participate in the event, need to put on their best wearables.
