Earlier today the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) filed its second lawsuit against Google. While previous attempts have been made to dismantle Big Tech Companies this filing by the DOJ attacks Google's core business that really funds and supports the rest of the Alphabet Company. This court case is honestly going to be a long-haul slog for the Biden Administration and easily will take many years to wage as it is seeking to force Google to divest, meaning sell, its online advertisements business.

While Google also offers other products and services like their phones, email, software, etc. none of them come even close to making the tens of billions of dollars that online advertising makes the company. It is because of the advertisement section that Google has been able to create, fund, and acquire, its moonshot projects like Google Glass that sometimes fail and never make it to the light of day. During that time they are just huge money pits that the company invests in to try and create the next big thing.

Having good and really Chrome itself put on the defensive allows challengers like BRAVE to gain space and prominence. Since they are also built upon the underlying chrome foundations making the change is not as severe as a change from a Mac to a PC is or vice versa. A lot of similar functions still exist and are able to be accessed via Brave.

This also will highlight to the public the true intrusion that is going on into people's personal data by these large tech companies. Individuals and people that are more privacy-oriented but may be willing to sacrifice it for convenience now will see that with it being this bad maybe making the jump is not out of the question. Exposure to alternatives is going to definitely uptick however Brave separates itself with its very unique structure that allows people to just either opt out of the ads entirely or be able to actually earn something for the ads that they see.

How it all plays out we will not know for years but during that time and especially when headlines develop like today it reminds people how valuable their data and browsing history is. Brave's ability for people to monetize this with such ease should help attract users that are always trying to grind out an extra buck. Individuals who want to get into crypto without having to spend any money can also take part in the Brave experience and that is another prime reason that Google and Chromes fight is Brave's win.
