The recent exploit of Curve Finance, one of the largest Ethereum DeFi protocols, has raised serious concerns about the DeFi security. In a recent tweet, Rune Christensen, founder of MakerDAO, warned that the Curve exploit could be "the last crash before the bull market." He argued that DeFi is still in its early stages, and that these kinds of exploits are to be expected as the ecosystem matures:
