Decentraland (MANA), a virtual reality blockchain game platform controlled by its users, has partnered with Ethereum scaling solution Matic Network (MATIC) for a $100K grant program to incentivize mini-game development within the game.
According to the announcement, the new initiative offers grants of up to $6K worth of MANA/MATIC per team. The submissions are required to leverage the Decentraland SDK and fit within one of the following categories:
- First-person shooters
- Arcade games
- Quizzes
- Escape rooms
- Tower defense
- Work simulators
- Sports
- Capture the flag
Games must also be competitive or multiplayer, make use of the Matic Network in some way and be finished within 2 months of the start of the grant period.
Top creators will be eligible for additional rewards based on game performance metrics like active users, retention rate and MANA transacted.
