DappRadar Now Tracking Dapps on Moonbeam & Moonriver

Do repost and rate:

DappRadar is happy to announce the integration of the Moonbeam network and its sister chain Moonriver. Moonbeam combines the benefits of easy-to-use Ethereum tooling and the scalable, interoperable architecture of Polkadot, while Moonriver is a companion network to Moonbeam that lives on Kusama.

Moonriver and Moonbeam are each independent layer one networks. New code ships to Moonriver first, where it can be tested and verified under actual economic conditions on Kusama. Once proven, the same code is then shipped to Moonbeam on Polkadot. Dapp developers can deploy to either—or both—networks depending on which Relay Chain (Kusama or Polkadot) they wish to access.

At launch, DappRadar will track 15 Moonriver dapps, ten focussed in the DeFi category, and the rest spread across gaming, marketplaces, and NFTs. Solarbeam stands out as the leading DeFi dapp on the network, while Profit Circus builds a solid GameFi audience.

Fully operational on Moonbeam, we are currently tracking three dapps. Beamswap, a decentralized exchange, is the clear leader and all three dapps are part of the finance category.

Dapp Developers

Like Moonbeam, Moonriver is a complete Ethereum-compatible environment and works with industry-standard Ethereum tools, dapps, and protocols. By mirroring Ethereum’s Web3 RPC, accounts, keys, subscriptions, logs, and more, Moonriver minimizes the changes required to run existing Solidity smart contracts on the network. Ethereum projects can simply replicate their dapp and deploy it to Moonbeam using Hardhat, Truffle, Remix, and other popular deployment tools.

DappRadar invites dapp developers to submit Moonbeam and Moonriver dapps to DappRadar, creating more visibility on The World’s Dapp Store. Users interested in learning more about Moonriver from a technical perspective can start below and dive deeper using the links provided.

Moonbeam

Moonbeam is an Ethereum-compatible smart contract platform on the Polkadot network that makes it easy to build natively interoperable applications. This Ethereum compatibility allows developers to deploy existing Solidity smart contracts and DApp frontends to Moonbeam with minimal changes. The Moonbeam production MainNet is a parachain on Polkadot and has been producing blocks since December 17th, 2021. Moonbeam features the highest levels of security and availability, benefitting from the shared security of the Polkadot Relay Chain. Learn more about Moonbeam.

Moonriver

Moonriver is an Ethereum-compatible smart contract parachain on Kusama. As a sister network to Moonbeam, new code ships here first, which means it always has the latest builds. Moonriver is also community-led, which means the vast majority of tokens are distributed to the community (and zero have been distributed to founders or early backers). Moonriver was launched in advance of Moonbeam, on the Kusama network. The parachain functionality is live, and Moonriver has proven to be the most active parachain on the Kusama network.
