Cryptowriter: E-Book Vol. 1 Cover WAX NFTs - Rewarding Content Creators

With the ongoing Crypto Finney commotion through NFT drops, I couldn’t help but share some NFTs that weren’t considered for sale initially, but the art was just too lit to keep hidden.

“Whether you succeed or not is irrelevant, there is no such thing.  Making your unknown known is the important thing.” ? Georgia O’Keeffe

One of the key issues with minting on the WAX and EOS chains via AtomicHub is that sales volume is low compared to the well-established Ethereum (ETH) platforms.  While I love the incredible progress NFTwriter and Crypto Finney are making; I felt some of the better work I’d seen wasn’t being presented to the public.   I couldn’t think of a good reason not to share it, especially with all of the poor quality work that people flooded the markets with recently.  Cryptowriter now has new people showing up in our social channels constantly, with a demand for expansion that is challenging to keep up with - I knew it was time.

Writers featured in the quarterly Cryptowriter e-book and achieved other accolades were given a dispersal of Volume 1 Genesis NFT E-book Covers, 170 total minted.  Higher accomplishments such as Jillian Godsil’s book publication “Persons of Interest: Timestamped in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, Vol 1. 2020” awarded her an elusive one-of-a-kind gold edition, while an enhanced middle-tier version of ten mints also exists.

Having been included in the first e-book, I received some of these NFTs and hung onto them for a while.  Finally, I decided it was time they saw the light of day and listed one for sale at a hard discount for 475 WAX, and it sold almost instantly with very minimal advertising.  The intention with these Volume 1 covers is to hold some for the long-term along with any other rare editions that we are granted as writers to add income for all parties involved - Cryptowriter, the artist, Lars Kommienezuspadt, and myself - the writer.

So far, that has been a wicked success.  Five of my ten covers sold at a new-release discount in a couple of days; a pleasant surprise is that these NFTs are highly marketable, and they were priced between 450 and 495 WAXP each just to get the market started.  I’ve since tried to set a 500 WAX minimum on late mints and am aiming to push prices up for earlier mints, though I know that some writers will sell for somewhat less and others will HODL theirs, some forever.  I will perma-HODL my best mint, #11.  It’s my first NFT and an authentic representation of my integration into the team, so it holds additional intrinsic value to me.

I wanted the artwork to be appreciated, and my goal was accomplished; many people love them.  Further still, I wanted to share their progress and beauty with you here.  In the process, I made well over $600 USD in WAXP, which is currently growing in value as the WAX NFT marketplaces become more popular due to artists tired of putting up with Ethereum’s high fees continue migrating over.

My 3rd best mint (#62) is for sale at 625 WAX now that I am done offering hard discount prices on later mints; my friend and fellow Cryptowriter Trever Russell just sold one of two I sent him for 475 WAX, marking the 6th sale in the suggested late-mint price ranges in the last few days.  These are solid results in a short time frame and nothing to shake a stick at when you have heavy competition and low sales volumes!  To top that off, another one of our newer community members, Jimmy Marco, just sold his first designed and minted NFT to the prominent artist Federico Clapis!

With the covers, pricing is the writer's prerogative as they earned these NFTs - their keys, their NFTs!  I can suggest a minimum price, but I also gave two of my ten to a fellow writer/friend for free as we often do each other favors as team members should, and now multiple Cryptowriters have profited.  It’s in our writer’s best interest to keep their value up, but I wouldn’t blame them for selling off some later mints to keep transactions rolling and to make some hard-earned money in a time of need as I did.

You can become an active part of the Cryptowriter/NFTwriter community through Twitter, Telegram, and/or Discord and be granted a Cryptowriter Membership Card, which will disperse holders further community NFT drops in the future.  We are continually impressed by how fast our community is growing, especially in the last couple of weeks.  Things are really poppin’ off.

Make sure to get your free Crypto Finney Coin NFTs during the ongoing drop; You can fill out a short form for a free Finney Coin NFT at this link.  The coin NFTs were minted on both the WAX and EOS chains, and you can get both free with nothing but WAX/EOS receiving addresses and an email.  Use one address, get one, use both - get two.

Cryptowriters are well paid to write; our terms are more than fair, but supplementing my income with additional NFTs awarded from membership and personal accomplishments inspired me to work harder, produce better content, and make more time for my writing at a time where I nearly had to resign from my writing position due to the heavy demands in my personal life.  I imagine this would be no different for any other writer or artist who is doing their best to appropriately manage their time worked to income ratio.

I wouldn’t be opposed to being paid in the form of NFTs in the future alongside the continued word-of-mouth discussion of live tokens, a subject of priority for many writers who are struggling through the COVID pandemic financially, myself included; thoughts on this concept would be greatly appreciated, both from writers and regular community members.  One thing is certain - this is worth further exploration; I see a proven way for everyone to get paid more while doing what they love.

Thank you to everyone that has supported the Cryptowriter community so far!

As always, comments, suggestions, and friendly debates are highly encouraged.

Stay smart & Stay safe.
