Although Binance is struggling in some countries like the UK to get compliant with the local laws, there are still huge risks around that exchange and its ecosystem. Therefore, I was a bit surprised to learn that Cosmos plans to move into the BINANCE Smart Chain (BSC).
The expansion of the Cosmos Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol into the BSC is a significant development for the Cosmos ecosystem. The BSC is one of the most popular blockchains in the world, and its integration into the IBC will open up a new range of opportunities for Cosmos users.
However, there are also some risks associated with this expansion. One of the biggest concerns is the regulatory uncertainty surrounding Binance. Binance has been facing regulatory scrutiny in a number of countries. If Binance is forced to shut down or significantly reduce its operations, this would have a negative impact on the BSC and the Cosmos ecosystem as a whole.
