Hello crypto world, hope everybody is doing fine with crypto markets trying to find a direction.
During the last dips i have been adding few atoms to my wallet because i wanted more positions in the cosmos network.
Why Atom(Cosmos)?
The goal of atom is to create an Internet of Blockchains (ibc), giving to different chains the chance to communicate with each other.
Right now is the highest interoperability between chains we have all around.
A lot of projects are already available in the cosmos hub. (luna, cro, osmo, scrt, juno, xprt and many others).
You can choose if to stake your atoms or to deposit them into cosmos hub.
At the moment i'm writing staking yeld on atom is around 13%.
What to do on cosmos hub?
You just need to connect your wallet to cosmos hub on osmosis lab to be able to:
-deposit and withdraw assets
-bond assets into lps
In my opinion the easiest way to try it is to deposit few atom on cosmos hub (i always set the lowest fee and get through) and swap them for your fav tokens.
A good deal imho is to buy some and stake them with cosmostation validator (you can choose any validator you feel comfortable with).
Why Osmo?
Is the token from osmosis lab( automated market maker) and ofc the most used into osmosis app.
Actually the staking reward you can get from osmo is 112%.
If you want to try it remember that unstaking needs 14 days to be effective.
Rewards are not compounding so, when claiming, is up to you to choose if to stake them too or to use them.
OSMO ISSUANCE
As you can see issuance is planned to decrease year by year so it can be a good strategy to be an early staker.
-staking should be a low-risk activity but remember always dyor
-watch out when connecting your wallet to any dapp/website
-never give your seed to anybody
My opinions
I am a true supporter of cosmos project and i think they can have a brilliant future.
Lot of projects are moving to ibc and many others are developing on it.
In the last week we had 2 airdrops (desmos and comdex) for atom stakers and many more are already announced.
