We are roughly a week away from the Discord Launch Day B-Day for GOG. What an insane year! The GoG Team has had a few instances of adversity over the past year.
The wave one sale was a bit rough and some were frustrated / annoyed. In response, a poap bot founders was born, and destroyed, and then reborn again. The Founder's Badge wasn't anything life changing, but it was fun and added some lore to the community. Eventually, we all got to digitally sign an art board if you had the Founder Badge. Wave 3 had some massive issues with purchases, and the Team responded with refunding ALL the lost gas fees on bugged transactions.
December 21st showed us how calculated these guys are. Nick said "we are going to end the year with a bang". He was not joking. GoG tokens were unlocked, GoG tokens were air dropped, and Cool GoG PFP's were given out. Instant GoG Bull Market with the Alpha soon to come!!
Not to long after all that hype, "Big Daddy IMX" becomes partners with Game Stop.... More hype, more Bullish feelings. Then we got the Delay. The short term holders responded. Founders are still "up" on their assets, but the prices have dropped considerably. The GoG token is down. The sentiment went from Bull to Bear.
Clearly the Team see's it, and has responded. Just like they have before. This time is a bit different though. I'm sitting back grinning watching the Team utilize their ambassadors / community in a coordinated manner.
This was in the works for a bit, but community Legend Tomahawk has been building a GoG event in the sandbox game for quite some time. I found out tonight while listening to the Guardians United Podcast.......that Tomahawk's event wouldn't be taking place, if not for the inspiration from the Legend StepFam. Crazy synergy? Well here is some more synergy. Tomahawk's event launched on the Legendary Kapone's twitch stream for some HIGH ENERGY FUN!! What a start to the event!!! What happened roughly 5-6 hours after that action packed event launch?? Yep,... a Alpha test net registration announcement. This just all luckily lined up right?? LOL. In addition to all the fabulous prizes in Tomahawk's main event...the team follows it up with an additional 1500 GOG token for pictures revolving around the event........can you see the coordination?
Tomahawk's Event who was inspired by StepFam, got pumped up by Kapone's Launch, and was supported by everyone in the community.....is the Catalyst. The Team coordinated a rally around what we have in this community, and maximized some good vibes in a time when some have their heads down. You might not think this a big deal, but it is. If they can do this with what we add, just imagine what they are doing behind the scenes getting this game ready. We still need to see the overall product to have our final convictions verified, and this is not medical advice, but I like my chances.
