Coin Hunt World will make you what?

After 20+ years working in IT I have seen many new technologies come and go, so I am always on the hunt for what is coming. Most of the time I am just curious, but sometimes one will catch my eye. When this happens, I have to try it out. Recently, while researching crypto, I came across the Coin Hunt World (CHW) app. CHW is founded on the "get out and be active principal" and earn crypto while doing it. Great idea! If you can earn crypto without paying for it, it's worth doing.

With the thoughts of earning some crypto while taking my daily walk, I downloaded the app and read a few articles on the how, what, when and where. Basic understanding in hand, I set off. Two miles into my walk and I found my first blue key. Excitement entered my thoughts, so I headed off my normal route and snatched that sucker up. Another, half mile in and I see my first blue vault. Oh boy, this is getting fun. After a tense second the challenge was presented and I scored a kill shot. As I rounded the corner and headed for home the excitement started to wane.  I just kept thinking that, that challenge question was too easy. Three miles back to the house and nothing showed up in my app.

After hitting the shower and grabbing a bite, I decided it was time to truly put this app to the test. As the online notes say, I headed into the big city and CHW did not fail me. As soon as I pulled into my first shopping center, I had vaults and keys everywhere. With a whoop, and a smile I was stalking my prey. Three hours later I decided it was time to put the tag on my catch and head for home. Reward after reward had been sliding up my screen for hours and I knew right then and there, that this could be an addictive past time. On my way home though, I began to ponder the challenge questions. They all seemed to easy.  I mean I can google a topic pretty fast, but there was no need. These questions could have been answered by the hunter who fell asleep in his coin-stand and missed the big one.

Arriving back at home, I quickly pulled up my totals. After 3 hours of traveling from shopping center to shopping center and walking many many steps, I wanted to see the freezer full of meat.

I had claimed and grand total of:

Satoshi: 1719

Gwei: 1093

Resin: 1150

Having been invested with crypto for some time now, I knew there was no need to go any further. We are talking pennies here. Going on the hunt by foot proved to provide little to no game. Hunting by vehicle (although illegal in some states) proved to be more rewarding, but offered nothing but field rat for the dinner table. After having a clear understanding of the game now, I sat back and thought more about my experience. I will be the first to admit that it was fun running around town, but that's $3.20/gal fun. If I had taken the kids, I could see that they would have had a blast. I mean they play those chucky cheese games as long as dad is providing the tokens. Every time they track me down with a hand full tickets and a hand held out for more tokens, I just smile and think to myself "whatever keeps your mom happy". Like chucky cheese, CHW is fun until reality rears its head. Hours' worth of hunting and I could not even afford the spider ring. So, what is the purpose of this game. It is not going to take hunters long to realize it is a waste of time.

After throwing pencils at the ceiling and repeating "I want to believe." over and over, it came to me. I had formed an opinion of the purpose of this app. Of course, it was obvious, as soon as it came to me. CHW is a traffic patterning application that will be used to prove its effectiveness at driving people to businesses. If a business is willing to pay to have a vault by or in their business, the application can drive traffic right to their front door or even to a specific isle. How many sells can a business get by having a vault next to the clearance isle? Great idea from the creator/developer of this game, but in my humble opinion, this hunt will end before it begins. Not many hunters will continue to revisit the same hunting grounds if there is no sign of game. If you are hunting for a 10-point buck or a wallet full of bitcoin, the outcome will be the same if you always come home empty handed. It will be a very short hunting season for Coin Hunt World.
