Chainlink CCIP went Live!
Chainlink first announced CCIP back in Aug of '21, and today July 18 2023 it went live on the mainnet.
Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is a global open-sourced standard for decentralized inter-blockchain data, messaging and token mobility.
Initial CCIP release is by invitation only, however, that is not expected to last long and they will open the 'flood gates'. Perhaps the best way to unveil such a huge feature set, slowly while continuing to test all the features/functions.
From the market perspective - Chainlink was up 7% on the news of CCIP going live, bullish sentiment for LINK on a Day that BTC, DOGE, Cardano, AVAX and LTC are all day! Sometimes in life you have to zig while others zag!
Other important factors for Chainlink - Recall back in Sept of '22 Chainlink announced they were working w/ SWIFT (Cross border payment behemoth) to bring this relic system into the 21st Century. Additionally, just last month Chainlink teamed up with SWIFT and a Dozen Huge Global banks for a series of testing experiments.
