I would like to tell you today about BULB, a read and write to earn blogging site on the Solana blockchain. It was founded in September 2021 and the official launch for the public to join was April 2023.
Now I love PublishOx and I am not suggesting BULB is better, it is just another site to use to get rewarded for your content and participation.
So with BULB you get a set amount of energy that is renewed daily, you can use your energy to write content, read. or comment but then you also earn points.
I find it good that you can get points for commenting although you will just get some 'good post' comments but as people have to use energy to comment that should stop some of that.
As for points for rewards there is a weekly pool that is distributed based on your weekly contribution to the site. You can use your BULB points to unlock premium articles, buy more power, boost your post and get an NFT that gives you more points. (There are many different NFT's for different categories, each giving you a different points).
You can even moderate to earn if you find an article that is outright spam or copied content. (there is a report to earn) so all users can report bad behaviour,, if enough people report the same post it will then go to a public governance dashboard for moderators to check and then decide if the post stays or gets removed.
So far I have found the site quite easy to use, with a simple layout and you can subscribe to writers that you like, there are a huge range of categories for articles. I have really only looked at the crypto section.
There is a hints section on how to improve your post and a statistics page showing your activity.
I have a Phantom wallet for my BULB tokens to go in and as it is on the Solana blockchain the fees are quite low, I have only used a few cents to claim my tokens but it was all quite straight forward, as the project is still in beta the tokens are not on an exchange yet so it is just an estimate of their worth.
