Brave Browser Publishes an Update to the 2.0 Roadmap.... Is it Time to Start Getting Excited?!

Do repost and rate:

Today BRAVE published an update to their roadmap 2.0 and honestly it might be time to start getting excited about what the development team has to offer! Now I wouldn't blame you if you have read what I have said so far and thought really this team has done some well interesting stuff in the past however they continue to pump out new features and products to really create a well-rounded browser.

No matter really what someone says to me I will stick to my guns that Brave at the end of the day provided an easy-to-use and privacy-focused browser something that really was unheard of before them. The addition of the BAT token really set it apart as a Web 3.0 browser and what the future of web browsing could be. Even if the BAT token imploded and was worth nothing the security aspect of Brave was enough for me to continue to use it alone.

In the 2.0 Roadmap, some really big things were talked about like Brave having its own wallet which could lead to decoupling from the atrocious monster that is Uphold... In my opinion, Uphold makes COINBASE look like a DEX with how bad it is. Shaking off Uphold will be huge for BAT's utility which has been highlighted before. Hearing that progress has been made with the wallet and it being able to deal with multiple chains much like METAMASK I am very excited to hear this! It was also really nice to hear that this Wallet was being worked on for mobile devices as well. While iOS users like myself are currently being burned by Apple's restrictions (shocker right?!?!??!) it is important that they do not abandon the users of these devices as iOS devices are pretty common in the US!

When they mentioned that their DEX was live I was honestly pretty confused. I would have figured that they would have made a bigger deal about this however once I got to it and checked it out I understood why while it is "live" I wouldn't use it. The biggest issue with it is the lack of assets that you can swap between as they only have a handful so that is not as good as other DEX's. Now since they are talking about incorporating their wallet into it which would allow users to better utilize their BAT this could be really really interesting to see develop.

There is more that they released and talked about however these are the two biggest things. More importantly, these could be HUGE strides forward for the Brave Browser as they could be able to continue to add to their suite of products and keep more things in-house. This would allow individuals to be able to quickly and easily interact with their BAT. I am honestly AMAZED at the progress as I was a little concerned that this was all too good to be true when they first announced the 2.0 Roadmap. Reading through the wallet tracking information it seems like it could be released in Beta in the third quarter of this year which would shock me! Since the DEX in rudimentary form is already there I would assume that with the wallet launch the DEX will be expanded upon and polished the product. With these two key things in play, I am starting to get really excited for the future of Brave as they really seem to be delivering on what they discussed. I have been getting used to their search engine and really am starting to like it more and more as I have used it even!
