Fourth participation in the Battle mage secret. For this edition, I've come up with a match that focuses on the Ruleset of combat.
Introduction:
So this week, we're tackling one of my favorite rulesets. It's called "Little League", and only allows you to play with cards of cost 4 or less.
The emphasis is on the player's ability to build a solid team with rather weak creatures.
Having played a silver league for a long time, I have a good mastery of this type of creature, as we often have to deal with low-cost monsters in this league.
Of course, a single ruleset doesn't determine your team, and it's the other active rulesets that will determine the right choice of summoner and monsters to use.
- Know by heart the most powerful, low-cost monsters in each color.
Queen Mycelia is rarely a bad choice, as the card is so powerful.
These ants are often the tank of choice with this ruleset!
- Adapting your choice to the current Ruleset is often more important than opting for a stronger but less adaptable monster.
A card of rare power, protecting your team from the "explosive weaponry" ruleset.
In addition to being a formidable damage dealer, the revealer is also impervious to poison.
- Try to put yourself in your opponent's shoes to counter these choices.
Battle rules :
So, in addition to the League Little rule, we're obliged to play only magical creatures, and to spice things up a bit, an earthquake will be part of the game.
The fight:
By way of background, this battle takes place in the “Gold 2” league around 360? place in the standings. This is the Modern format being played.

To my great surprise, my opponent chose the Owster Rotwell summoner. I've always found this summoner very good on paper, but unconvincing in combat.
On the other hand, his presence when I've chosen Obsidian is a problem!
My biggest concern here was Doctor Blight, but as he's only level two, he doesn't have the “Scavenger” skill that would have been a real problem here.
Returning to my own composition, the choice of Obsidian is dictated by my desire to play “Queen Mycelia” at all costs in this match. Indeed, her “Protect” ability gives my whole team a “free” survival turn against the earthquake.
As for "Djinn Bilka", he's here to do some damage and weaken his opponent still further, so as to make the most of the “EARTHQUAKE” rule set.
Finally, the "Venari Spellsmich" acts as a shield against the first damage and protects these two companions.
So here we are with a second "Battle Mage Secret" victory, and I have no intention of stopping there!
The composition of my opponent remains interesting, and if he had played a Doctor Blight level three, I think this battle would have turned out badly.
Nevertheless, his summoner is from the "Untamed" edition and therefore less accessible than my deck, which was a pure Chaos Legion.

Quatrieme participation a ce bel evenement que sont les Battle mage secret. Pour cette edition, je vous ai degotte un match qui met l'accent sur la reflexion autour du Ruleset du combat.
Introduction :
Cette semaine, nous allons donc nous attaquer a l'un de mes ruleset favoris. Il s'agit de "Little League" qui ne vous permet de jouer qu'avec des cartes de cout 4 ou moins.
L'accent sera ainsi mis sur la capacite du joueur a construire une equipe solide avec des creature plutot faiblarde.
Ayant longtemps jouer un league argent, j'ai une bonne maitrise de ce type de creature, car on doit souvent composer avec des monstres de bas cout dans cette league.
Bien evidemment, se ruleset seul ne conditionne pas votre equipe et ce sont les autres ruleset en activite qui vont determiner le bon choix d'invocateur et de monstres a utiliser.
Conseils :
- Connaitre par c?ur les monstres les plus puissants et les moins chers de chaque couleur.
La reine Mycelia est rarement un mauvais choix, tant la carte est puissante.
Ces fourmis sont souvent un tank de choix avec ce ruleset !
- Adapter son choix au Ruleset actuel est souvent plus important que d'opter pour un monstre plus fort mais moins adapte.
Une carte d'une puissance rare, qui protege votre equipe du ruleset "armes explosives"
En plus d'etre un redoutable damage dealer, le Revealer est egalement insensible au poison
- Essayez de vous mettre a la place de votre adversaire pour contrer ces choix.
Les regles de la bataille :
Nous avons donc, en plus de la regle League Little, l'obligation de ne jouer que des creatures magiques et pour corder un peu les choses, un tremblement de terre sera de la partie.
La baston :
Pour vous situer, cette bataille se deroule en ligue "Gold 2" aux alentours de la 360? place du classement. C'est le format Modern qui est joue.

A ma grande surprise, mon adversaire a fait le choix de l'invocateur Owster Rotwell. J'ai toujours trouve cette invocateur tres bon sur le papier, mais peu convaincant en combat.
En revanche sa presence alors que j'ai fait le choix de Obsidian est un probleme !
Ma plus grosse inquietude venait ici du Doctor Blight mais n'etant que niveau deux, il n'a pas la competence "Scavenger" qui aurait ete un veritable probleme ici.
Revenons a ma propre composition, le choix de Obsidian est dicte par ma volonte de jouer "Queen Mycelia" a tout prix dans ce match. En effet, sa capacite "Protect" assure a toute mon equipe un tour de survie "gratuit" contre le tremblement de terre.
Le Djinn Bilka lui, est ici pour faire du degat et affaiblir encore un peu l'adversaire afin de profiter au mieux du ruletset "EARTHQUAKE"
Enfin, le "Venari Spellsmich" fait office de bouclier contre lre premier degat et protege ces deux comperes.
Nous voici donc avec une seconde victoire en "Battle Mage Secret" et je ne compte m'arreter la !
La composition de mon adversaire reste interessante et s'il avait joue un Doctor Blight level trois, je pense que ce combat aurait tourne defavorablement.
Neanmoins, son invocateur est de l'edition "Untamed" et donc moins accessible que mon deck qui etait un pur Chaos Legion.
