Banano - Not just another meme coin

Do repost and rate:

If someone stumbled across Banano by chance in the netherworld of the internet (as I’m sure you might have right now) they’d find it easy to jump to the conclusion that it’s worthless. That it’s just another meme-coin. A shit-coin. An effortless fork of an existing project. It’s just another Doge. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. A cursory glance at the efforts of the Banano dev team tells a complete different story.

The goal of Banano is simple; educate the masses on crypto in a fun, accessible way with a coin that is easy to use and transact with. The Banano team has accomplished the first steps of this vision in spades – and the future is looking bright with new developments. And that’s the magic of it all! Any development done by the devs has bled and will bleed over into it’s parent coin Nano. Many hic-cups of Nano that people harp on in opposition to the coin are actively being solved with Banano, including the elephant in the room when it comes to cryptocurrency – Security.

If you have any doubts at all on the viability of Banano and its future, just take a look at some of the features the dev team has worked on:

Kalium / Natrium

Natrium has solidified itself as the defacto wallet of the Nano ecosphere but did you know that its a port of the dev created Banano wallet Kallium? The Ux of the two wallets and usability are unique in the cryptosphere and undoutedly one of the best user experiences. How much easier does it get than simply scanning a QR code and sending any amount of money instantly… and for no fee!

BananoCamo / NanoCamo

In the interest of doing one thing and doing one thing best, the Nano devs neglected the aspect of security in the creation of the currency. The Banano team has been diligently working on a security feature that will be ported to Nano when it’s complete! The general working idea is to combine multiple account address tied to a single seed – that way when you send a transaction the recipient would only be able to see a fraction of the accounts transactions rather than all of them. It’s a work in progress but the results would propel both coins into the spotlight undoubtedly.

Distribution

Of all the things that the Banano team has done, one of the best decisions was a distribution plan involving a popular protein folding service called Folding@Home. The program allows users. To donate computing power to Scientists in the interest of finding vaccines for diseases including Covid-19.  Every 12 hours the team airdrops BAN to members of the Banano folding team. It’s not traditional mining, but it’s the same thing in a sense and it won’t last forever -  so get mining today! Fighting coranavirus and earning Banano.. can’t get more wholesome than that.

Beyond F@H, Ban is distributed by the team with giveaways and events bringing the community together. You can also mine it on a browser using the Bananopowerplant

The distribution is yet to be complete, which I admit is a drawback to Banano as it is currently centralized, but with the projects that the devs have been working on I have full faith that the coin has no intention of being a scam and has a bright future. The team has made a huge effort in the last month or two as the project has gained notice to distribute the remaining supply at a faster rate, including two huge airdrops to Nano users and a teased burning coming up on the first of April.

So if you’re still feeling skeptical, relax. Take a breather and get some potassium – trust me, its worth it. Banano might not end up making you rich (but it could) but you can enjoy the community, fight covid, and send some tips around. Oh yeah. Did I mention it’s fast and feeless?
