August Update
Hey guys, and welcome to my YieldNodes Update for August.
I haven't posted here in a while and focused on medium, but I want to continue posting on both platforms so hi again :)
This is the first blog I write on my phone so please bear with me if the formatting or links are not perfect !
YieldNodes is continuing to impress me, month after month. The team keeps delivering, even in this crypto bear market.
Quick announcement: All my requested payouts have been received in my Kraken Account in time!
Reducing profits for the team
YieldNodes is turning 3 years old in October. To celebrate, the team recently announced to reduce their own profits from masternoding 15% to 12.5%. This means instead of 85%, now 87.5% go to the users.
I like this change, as it should increase the longevity of the project even further. I think it’s impressive to see them reduce their profits for the gain of the community.
In other news, YieldNodes released their app on Android. They announced that it will still have some bugs. My guess is that they released it to combat many fake versions that were added in the past.
My earnings in August
But what about my earnings?
My August with YieldNodes was super successful: affiliate income was high again with 1730€, many people are trusting YieldNodes in times of low interest rates in bank & savings accounts.
The team managed to return 6.1% which I think is fantastic. This turned out to 550€ on my masternoded 10896€. If you don't know what that means, check out my detailed Deposit guide for YieldNodes
I decided to request a small payout of some of the funds (earnings + affiliate). After the crypto crash my portfolio is still imbalanced and I also want to be prepared for any taxes I might have to pay on this income.
I was able to grow my masternoded balance by around 700€ compared to July. This compounding growth is what makes this project so appealing to me.
Closing thoughts
Please keep in mind that all these gains are paper gains unless you have them paid out to your own wallet! YieldNodes is a risky investment. Inform yourself before you invest. I aim to not have more than 25% of my portfolio in YieldNodes as advised by their CEO. Honestly, which project would be so direct and transparent about the underlying risk?
