Atlas: Earth was one app I mentioned in my previous post under the watching advertisements to earn section. I realized though that I've never actually written a post about it in any detail so I figured now was as good a time as any.
Everyone it seems is looking for another income stream that will legitimately earn them a passive income but at the same time is different then all the same things floating around. It's hard to find a balance to that sometimes. Everything just seems like a clone of something else anymore. Originality has gone and had an early retirement.
Anyway, this app is a fairly new one that actually only came out officially early this year. Before it came out I was subscribed to their emailing list because it looked interesting although I admit I didn't read any of the emails they sent. My email is a mess that would require just sitting down for a day and sorting it all completely out. So, I didn't stay up to date with these devs as they were developing but they have their own website. I will link it below and you can check it out and see what you think about their project. It's basically an app that functions by funding itself with ads and people who buy their virtual land. And they have a whole virtual earth to sell. The style of this can be quite profitable for them as long as they don't abuse it and of course profitable for those who own the virtual land plots. Each plot of land you buy earns a small amount of what they call 'rent'. I call it our portion of the profits. It's a lot like owning a share in a company which then entitles you to a part of the profits. You invest and get some return. Although you are investing essentially twice with this set up because you can buy the plots of land, and you watch advertisements for bonuses. You can earn the plots for free (sorta) by watching ads and earning diamonds. Individual plots cost $4.99 or 100 diamonds. Obviously it's faster to just put up the money for it then to earn the plots for free and I'm sure once more members join it will be a lot longer of a process to earn the free plots. At the moment you can watch an ad every 20 mins and earn 2 diamonds.
As with anything it is in the end a lot cheaper on time and initial investment if you buy more then one plot at once. Current pricing is as $4.99 for 1 parcel; $14.99 for 3 parcels; $39.99 for 9 parcels; and $99.99 for 24 parcels. The land parcels you can get have different grades to them as well including common, rare, epic, legendary, and landmarks are going to be added in as well. Common land plots currently generate $0.0000000011 per second; rare generates $0.0000000016 per second; epic generates $0.0000000022 per second; and the legendary plots generate $0.0000000044 per second. These rates can be increased by 30x by watching an ad. They also offer what they call passports which give you permanent additional income boosts on your land parcels.
I've had the app for a little over 3 months and have around $0.15 at the moment. It's been an interesting and different sort of investment for me so I've enjoyed the variation from the typical boring hey watch these 50 ads and earn this tiny piece of a penny!
