PRESS RELEASE. Foonie Magus, developers of the world’s 1st NFT god game Apeiron, has announced its biggest ever tournament, the Apeiron Guild Wars: Skydream Scramble. The event, co-hosted by GameFi.org, will include major web3 gaming communities, a $200k prize pool, and has received overwhelming support from industry peers, including The Beacon, Project Godjira, Matr1x FIRE, and Guildfi.
The announcement of the tournament follows the recent release of Apeiron’s Dungeon Demo, which casts players in the role of the storm god Gale and his gang of cute and chubby Doods as they fight through a dangerous dungeon in the Apeiron “godiverse”. The demo has received glowing praise from the public.
Frank Cheng, Foonie Magus CEO, claims that this is just the beginning: “Our team is thrilled by the overwhelming response, but they ain’t seen nothing yet! What we have right now is but a minimal value product, a demonstration of Apeiron’s core battle game loop. Over the next few months we will give players a taste of what Apeiron is truly capable of.”
To play the Apeiron Dungeon Demo, players will need an Apeiron’s Battlepass. Players will be able to earn Animus, a unique Apeiron reward token, by completing dungeon levels, and those who make it all the way to the final boss will be eligible for special prizes.
The release of the demo marks the announcement of Apeiron’s latest Guild Wars: the Skydream Scramble, to be held over the course of February and March 2023. This massive event will bring together web3 gaming communities for an opportunity to win rewards of up to $20,000 now and a shot at Apeiron’s $200,000 tournament in May.
The Skydream Scramble will be Apeiron’s biggest ever gameplay tournament. Notable partners include gaming guild giants such as Guildfi, Avocado, YGG SEA, and Snackclub, alongside Alpha NFT communities Project Godira, Surgence, Habibz, and Zooverse. Gaming platforms Polkastarter and GameFi.org will also both be participating, the latter co-hosting the tournament.
Furthermore, Apeiron will be partnering with a number of other web3 game projects – including The Beacon, E4C, Matr1x FIRE, Degenheim, Shrapnel and 3VERSE – to provide a variety of different gaming experiences and rewards for players to enjoy and earn over the course of the tournament.
