Animoca Justifies Data Theft While BAYC Consolidates to Confiscate for Government

Do repost and rate:

Just as I predicted in the BAYC = IRS article, Yuga Labs (progenitor of BAYC) announced their annexa-- er, acquisition of Meebits and CryptoPunks. This consolidates 3 of the biggest NFT collections in the world under one roof, ripe for the creation of a fat government honeypot to tax the fuck out of your NFTs with no services rendered whatsoever.

Human nature has not changed, and we see technology again outpacing the human will to learn or use it properly. Because the majority of people are lazy, stupid, and solely out for more $$$, power from these new technologies will continue to accrue to people who already have power. Why? Because they are the only ones who care enough to take it. Everyone else is good with a few more trinkets and toys.

In case you don't want to read BAYC = IRS, I'll catch you up. Yuga Labs, backed by Animoca, is requiring KYC to receive full benefits for future value accruing to BAYC/MAYC. You can bet this requirement will soon extend to its other properties, i.e. the recently acquired Meebits and CryptoPunks. By doing this, Yuga Labs & Animoca provide the same service for government today as banks provided for government 100 years ago when the US confiscated the public's gold for its own nefarious purposes.

The powers that be always send forward a pinhead to explain away the bullshit. The chosen token this time is Yat Siu, chairman of Animoca. He put out a Twitter thread that explained basically nothing but tried to hypnotize your ass to sleep and accept the data grab that's coming. Isn't this why Facebook was getting so much heat? Isn't this why crypto was created in the first place — to be pseudonymous, decentralized, private and provide choice to the general public?

Yat literally said that "KYC is critical to the future of the [blockchain] industry." Actually, Yat, it isn't whatsoever. It's critical to your pocketbook, and to the expediency of your ROI from investments you make, but I can't think of anything more uncritical to a Web3 database than populating that database with information coerced from people and used in ways outside of their control.

Then again, anyone who complies with this nonsense deserves what they get.

The faggit actually said this:

KYC is required by law in financial transactions to establish the legitimacy of a customer in order to prevent identity theft, money laundering and other financial crimes.

Except that, Yiu, KYC doesn't prevent any "crimes." We all know Jamie Dimon's name. Plus, if you want to find someone's identity on chain, you can do it without any coerced information. This has happened over and over. No, this idiot is just a victim of the phenomenon of overcompliance, or bending over and offering your ass cheeks to any and everyone before anyone even asked you to.

Nor does Yiu ever define what a crime is. I guess if you want to keep the money you earn and protect yourself from government overreach, that's a crime. I mean, that's what I have to infer because Yiu didn't explain himself in that statement.

Among other bullshit, he also tries to cross your eyes through techspeak so you stop asking questions:

@AnimocaBrands @BoredApeYC can see your personal info. @BlockpassOrg destroys your data after verification and only stores an anonymous representation of your data.

Yeah, Yiu. But why do you actually need to KYC if your data is destroyed and no one can see it? Oh, that's right. Because it's destroyed and someone  see it. The only thing hashing up data does is make it impenetrable to the average person. People with access (government) can still see it and ID you. And YOU can still give up that information to them and plead innocence because you "hashed" it and aren't looking at raw data onscreen when you hand it over.

Faggit ass bullshit. Garbage. Babble. Ridiculous nonsense. Yiu, you fucking coward birdshit terd. And Yuga Labs is no better. They agreed to this after the founders themselves got doxxed against their will. Absolute faggitry. Or maybe they set up the dox to get everyone else to dox when this announcement dropped.

Bottom line: The second you KYC to this shit, you sign up for Facebook 2.0.

The correct move now is to use crypto tech to create alternatives to the Yuga/Animoca oligopoly. We'll be talking about that soon.
