AAG’s MetaOne Wallet Adds Support For New Blockchains & Customizable Onboarding

Web3 infrastructure provider AAG has announced a major update to its flagship product, the MetaOne wallet that’s designed to help onboard new users to the nascent metaverse economy.

To ease the process of onboarding new users into Web3, MetaOne notably does away with the need for users to safely store their own private keys. It also throws in user-friendly features like fiat on-ramps through Simplex and COINBASE Pay, an integrated decentralized application marketplace for approved dApps and educational resources.

With the launch of MetaOne wallet 2.0, AAG says Web3 accessibility will become even more convenient by making it easier than ever for users to manage their digital assets.

The most notable new feature is the added support for four new blockchains, including Oasys, Saakuru, the AAG-owned Layer-2 protocol for Oasys, and Arbitrum and Avalanche, two of the crypto industry’s top DeFi chains.

In addition, MetaOne gains a number of interesting enterprise features. For instance, MetaOne Connect is aimed at companies that would like to customize the onboarding experience for their communities. With it, companies can streamline the process via a QR code that users scan to download a customized version of the MetaOne. Companies could choose to pre-install certain dApps for users, which would appear immediately on the wallet’s home screen. Alternatively, they could give users a small amount of tokens to pay for gas fees that will appear in their wallets once the onboarding process is complete. And should the company require users to undergo KYC, it can provide a form to streamline that immediately after they complete the onboarding steps.

The second new enterprise feature is MetaOne ZK, which enables zero-knowledge proof-based identity verification that doesn’t compromise the privacy of wallet users, enabling them to prove who they say they are, without giving up any personal information.

That’s all for now, but AAG is promising several interesting features that will come to its wallet in the coming weeks. These include a new Wallet Address Book feature for users to save frequently used addresses, and the Wallet Connect 2.x integration that will allow users to instantly connect MetaOne to various dApps. Users will also gain cross-chain asset swap functionality enabling them to swap assets across various support blockchains from directly within the wallet. Finally, AAG is planning to add fiat off-ramps to MetaOne too, giving users an easy way to sell their crypto for fiat that’s deposited directly into their traditional bank account.

The latest version of the MetaOne wallet is available now for both Android and iOS.
