Augur Turbo | The Future Model Of The Sports Betting Industry ?

Interesting post concerning a new product launched by Augur. This product is called Augur Turbo and aims to allow every user to provide liquidity and act as a bookmaker in a user-friendly way. Something definitely worth keeping track of.

Extract: Augur is a crypto project that has aimed to make a prediction market on Ethereum having their REP token as a tool to provide their own decentralized market creation & oracle solution. This model has not gotten very much traction as Ethereum is slow with high fees along with a lack of users and liquidity being not that user-friendly so far. Last week, They released a completely separate product aimed toward Sports Betting (Not linked to the REP Token) called Augur Turbo which uses almost the exact model I wrote about months ago.

These all are just things based on my initial impression...

Building a case for IPFS - SPK Network as a Game Changer

@occupation takes a through the pros and cons of using the IPFS system to share files and datas. Then he goes on to show us how the SPK Network could be a game changer and what issues it might have to face or work around. N.B. the launch of the SPK Network has been announced by @threespeak a few weeks back.

Extract: In the traditional web architecture, user data is stored on centralized storage serves, which are owned, governed, and controlled by centralized companies, hence implying one point of failure. This control provides them elevated privileges that could be abused at the expense of the end/user. It wouldn't be the first time big companies leaked the data, so we're not talking game theory, rather something that happens every few months. lol

IPFS stands for the interplanetary file system. It's a peer-to-peer open-source protocol for file storage that uses content-based addressing, rather than location-based addressing. This means that in order to track the file/document, we don't need to know where it is, rather what it contains. Every file has a Hash function that cannot be separated from the content it is relative to. That's how @threespeak plans to utilize the #Hive blockchain.

Billionaire Stan Druckenmiller skeptical of ETH, shares opinion on DOGE

Smart read and take concerning the latest Crypto thoughts from Druckenmiller. He believes in crypto but acknowledge some are pure casinon (he cites Dogecoin of course), Bitcoin seems the one the hardest to unseat. His biggest doubts are with Ethereum as he feels there is an opportunity for this coin but the competition and ever growing use cases demand might "destroy it".

Extract: It’s not every day that the investment fund manager who handled the investment account of George Soros publicly acknowledges Bitcoin or Ethereum. Billionaires and investment managers are more often than not skeptical when it comes to Bitcoin. The disruptive economic model, established by blockchain through the use of cryptocurrencies, leaves them disinclined to consider the alternative to existing financial models.

Stan Druckenmiller drafted a comparison between Bitcoin and Ethereum, noting that BTC is “going to be very tough to unseat.” Using Yahoo and Google as a further analogy, he added, “Google wasn’t that much faster than Yahoo, but it didn’t need to be. All it needed to be was a little bit faster ,and the rest is history.”

Deep falls of BTC prices because of the phenomenon of cascading liquidations on futures market

A simple but clear explanation on why we have such sudden crypto drops during this bull run. Of course, one of the driver has been the high leverage from mostly retail investors who get liquidated. My advice: Do not trade with leverage. Period.

Extract: However, when BTC prices go down, the BTC that is put for collateral automatically gets liquidated, therefore the trader loses all his BTC holdings.

THis is why overleveraged positions in risky, meaning when you trade BTC in futures markets on margin with > 5, 10 leverage, you stand to lose all your BTC holdings.

Who knows about an unscheduled Pseudo-Halving for Bitcoin?

This post is writing about the miner net position change and its implications on the Bitcoin and Crypto prices. It seems that this green positive net miner position should continue in the next few weeks/months and maybe help the Bitcoin price to raise.

Other things are taken into consideration such as EIP1559 and ETH 2.0

Extract: Regardless of the sideways markets, people in the know are only shuffling funds, but not selling out of this sideways trend. One can almost feel the momentum building for something BIG.

Just watch these 3 things, BTC hoarding, EIP1559 and ETH 2.0's slow roll. Then look for bargains in the ETH Support Tokens, buy the bargains and the dips.
