I hope you are all well and had an excellent weekend, welcome to CryptoGod-1’s blog on all things crypto. Today I will be looking at the recently airdropped 21,000 Ordinal Inscriptions as part of a Bitcoin game promotion.

21,000 Ordinal Inscriptions

A mysterious message has been included in an airdrop of 21,000 digital inscriptions, known as RSICs, to the Bitcoin Ordinals community. This comes as part of a Bitcoin game promotion, with the message nothing a potential “technological arms race” related to securing a bag of runes has begun. The runes in question, along with the RSICs, are designed for this purpose. The inscription noted:

“This is the first-ever rune on bitcoin.”

The group behind the airdrop are calling themselves Runecoin, although they are showing no affiliation with the original Runes concept by Casey Rodarmor. He is known as the founder of Bitcoin Ordinals. The rules of this Runecoin note that all 21,000 RSIC inscriptions were initially manufactured but can no longer be produced due to a mysterious explosion at the 'factory' and 'distribution centres.'

There are three options for RSIC holder: mine runes, sell RSICs on the market, or let their RSICs fade.

The developers also ensured a reserve of 10% of all of Runecoin RSICs are reserved for the designers. At the time of writing there has been signs of excitement and scepticism.

On social media users have questioned the airdrop’s claims, particularly the claim that it is the “first-ever rune on bitcoin.” Some not it clearly is not the first rune to land on Bitcoin, while the team have also added that no Runes are Runes until the protocol actually drops. Many are advising to remain cautious in the situation, while others are noting that the identity of the Runecoin team remains unknown.

Have a great day.
