Cryptocurrency exchange BINANCE is to wind down futures and derivatives products across Europe, starting with Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.
- Users in these countries will be unable to open new positions on Binance's platform with immediate effect, the company said Friday.
- Users with existing positions will have to close them by an as-yet determined date.
- Malaysia's securities commission, meantime, issued a public reprimand against the company and ordered it to disable the website and mobile apps in the country.
