CHAPTER 2!

The Marketplace.

Now that you have your brand new account you are wondering how to acquire your first NFT?

The easiest way is to buy one!

But where to go and safely do that?

There are of course multiple good options out there, I personally prefer AtomicHub.

You of course will be wondering why AtomicHub?

AtomicHub is currently the leading marketplace when it comes to NFTs.

It is the place to go when you want to buy, sell, auction or create exciting giveaways.

It is also very user friendly and it seamlessly interacts with your newly created WAX cloud wallet.

First of all AtomicHub supports multiple blockchains, so make sure WAX is selected as it is shown in the picture above!

The link in this post will take you directly to the WAX hub, but just in case make sure WAX is the selected one.

All you have to do to login is to click on the login button…

And then select the WAX cloud wallet option.

Notice that if you are not logged in on your WAX cloud wallet already you will have to do so and then authorise AtomicHub to connect with your account.

Here are the relative pictures to guide you through:

Notice that you should have an option to whitelist AtomicHub in the form of a tick box at the end of the approve window.

Clicking it makes it faster to use AtomicHub as it doesn’t require you to approve every transaction from your wallet.

That is especially helpful when you are trying to get a giveaway link and you need to be as fast as possible!

Now that you are logged in go and click on your account name to get the list of options that have to do with your assets.

As you can see there you find your inventory as well as any active sales or auctions you have.

Since you still have no NFTs let us see how you can buy your first one.

Of course you should first buy some WAX, you can do so on the various exchanges that offer WAX pairs. A list can be found at CoinMarketCap.

So let us head to the market where we find all the NFTs that are up for sale!

To help you narrow down the shown NFTs that are for sale you can use either the search bar to type the name of the NFT you are looking for or use the filters on the left side!

Let us saying you want to buy the Calcium card from the Periodic Elements.

By the way Periodic Elements is coming to the series and it is another post you definitely don’t want to miss!

Go to the filters menu scroll down until you find the Periodic Elements select it and apply the filter.

Then find the card you want from the various available Periodic Elements cards and click on buy!

Make sure you have available in your wallet the necessary WAX amount and confirm your purchase.

Now let us head to our inventory and have a look at our card and what we can do with it…

As you can see the main option is to list our card on the market to sell it.

This is a straightforward procedure as the only thing you have to do is to click on the ‘list on market’ button.

On the popped up window set the price you want to sell it for, after you have checked the suggest price, lowest market listing price and easily consulted the chart of the past sales and confirm your decision.

You also have the very nice option to type the amount you want in either WAX or USD/WAX. If you select the USD/WAX option it will automatically convert the amount of USD you want to sell your NFT for into WAX and set the WAX price accordingly!

Going back to the card in your inventory, by clicking the more options button you find a list of things you can do with your card.

The average user, which this guide is made for, will only use the transfer option.

Just a warning! DO NOT click the burn option as you will burn /destroy your asset. That is an irreversible action!

Transferring a card to another account is a very simple and straightforward procedure.

You only have to provide the WAX address of the recipients wallet, and add a transfer memo if you want. Click the send transfer button and confirm your decision and that is it, card is transferred!

Finally one needs to know how can a listing in the market be modified or canceled.

To do so we need to click on the my listings, where we can find the NFTs we have listed for sale.

Next click the the edit button in order to get the popped out edit options window.

Here you can edit the price, by typing the new price you want and clicking on confirm or you can cancel the listing by clicking the red cancel button.

Of course you also need, as always, to reconfirm your decision on the second popped up window.

Notice that if you want to close this window without making a change of price or canceling the listing you need to click the small x button on the top right corner. Many get confused and click the cancel button!

And now you know all the basic functions of AtomicHub and you are ready to buy, sell or transfer NFTs.

Make sure you don’t miss the next chapter where the CryptoMonkeys invade the series in a very special way!
