The saga of Wonderland refuses to die down after reports of its co-founder Sifu allegedly secretly transferring money has surfaced.

As per data revealed by crypto analysis firm Etherscan, Sifu has been laundering his funds through coin mixer Tornado Cash and has transferred $2.77 million worth of ETH through a wallet address called sifu.eth.

Meanwhile, the community is yet to find accepted reasoning to Sifu’s latest move since money obtained through legal means does not require the use of money-laundering services like Tornado Cash.

DeFi project Wonderland is shutting down after one of its pseudonymous co-founders ‘Sifu’ was revealed to be the co-founder of the now-defunct crypto exchange QuadrigaCX, Michael Patryn. The exchange was found to be a Ponzi scheme after the sudden death of one of its co-founders Gerald Cotten led to multiple investigations from Canadian authorities.

Before QuadrigaCX and Wonderland, Patryn had pleaded guilty to credit and bank fraud and was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2005. Later in 2007, he admitted to burglary, theft, and computer fraud.
