Two Pizzas, 10,000 Bitcoins, and The Perfect Bed Time Story(Moral)

Plenty of crypto enthusiasts celebrated Bitcoin Pizza Day yesterday, and I also came across some Hive posts dedicated to this special occasion. It's called Bitcoin Pizza Day because around 12 years ago, some individual decided to spend 10,000 bitcoins on two pizzas...

It's quite interesting—I wonder what happened to the person who actually paid cash in exchange for those bitcoins to buy the pizzas. That person is the true original gangster (OG) of the story.

Having the conviction that Bitcoin can become a currency of exchange, which I doubt will ever happen, is one thing. But having the vision that Bitcoin can become a store of value and accumulating as many as possible is an entirely different matter.

If the person who bought the 10,000 bitcoins for two pizzas still holds them, along with additional holdings, they're probably a billionaire by now. The spender wanted to make a point, but the person who acquired so many bitcoins for just two pizzas is the true OG, in my opinion.

Surprisingly, not many people talk about El Salvador, which we should, considering it's the new Bitcoin country—a place where every pizzeria probably accepts direct bitcoin payments, which is truly massive, in my opinion.

I don't intend to downplay the significance of Bitcoin Pizza Day, but we should also have an "El Salvador Bitcoin Adoption Day" sometime in September. What Nayib is accomplishing over there is truly outstanding.

Personally, I didn't celebrate Bitcoin Pizza Day, but in a way, I'm a more extreme version of that guy (I know, I'm so modest) because I spend cryptocurrencies almost daily. Today, I used USDT to pay for my phone and internet connection for this month, as well as the water services I use. Additionally, I spent a few USDT on milk and bottled water at a supermarket.

Living off crypto means I'm constantly offloading cryptocurrencies for everyday expenses. In a sense, I'm worse than the Bitcoin pizza guy. However, isn't crypto meant to be spent?

Hurray! I'm an active participant in the crypto mass adoption movement... Well, not exactly, because I don't directly spend crypto. I use a BINANCE VISA card that converts crypto to fiat on my behalf, allowing me to buy and spend crypto on various things.

I might regret exchanging valuable cryptocurrency for milk and eggs in a few years, but it's a risk I'm willing to take. To me, crypto is the perfect form of "fuck you money"—the best anti-establishment currency we've ever had—and I plan to stick with it as long as possible.

I didn't eat any damn pizza that I paid for with BTC yesterday, but I have spent a lot of crypto for all sorts of stuff over the course of a couple of years or more. This is how I celebrate crypto every day, all day. As I said, I'm worse than the Bitcoin pizza guy, and I love it! ??

That's all for now from me. I wish you all a great day, and see you tomorrow.
