Cryptocurrency is a very secure digital currency that uses cryptography to achieve this security. What is very interesting is that it is not known exactly who Satoshi Nakamoto is, whether it is a single person or a pseudonym that defines a group of people. No one has claimed huge innovation, but it seems that this is not of much interest given the fact that many people enjoy it.
Slowly, slowly, more and more coins appeared, each with different technologies and different purposes. Today, hundreds of cryptocurrencies can be traded on platforms such as Etoro under the name "altcoins". Many of these are extremely well known, such as Ethereum or Litecoin. The evolution of each cryptocurrency was based on the project behind it and on the obvious advantages it offered.
In principle, as long as the project is good, a cryptocurrency can bring a lot of advantages:
- Provides a decentralized trading environment;
- It does not make public the personal data of the users;
- It allows users to always have control over the transactions they make;
- It ensures a very fast transfer, regardless of the place in the world where it is sent and there is no limit in terms of traded values.
