Etoro conservative trading for modest gains.

Yes, I know.  Etoro is a platform that doesn't actually allow you to hold your own keys.  I get it.  I also understand why people are averse to using Etoro simply because this is true.  None of this means that the service can't provide gains.  Not to mention that Etoro will give you $50 after making $100 worth of trades.  That's quite a bit of wiggle room to participate and learn some basics of trading.

There are some educational and market tools available on the website and app.  It really is a good place to learn a little about the market.

Etoro charges a spread when buying a "position" so right from the start there's a dent in the dollar value of whatever position is invested in.

My approach has been to set alerts so that when my position gains 2.5%, I will be notified and I can consider closing the position.  Occasionally I'll close at a little less and sometimes I'll close at a bit more.  I then keep an eye out for dips and open new positions.

After week 1 the positions gained 7.5%.  After week 2 the gains were 9.24%.  Week 3 saw a bit of a dip and the positions are at 0% but anticipating a little growth before the end of the week.

This conservative approach has proved beneficial thus far.  I may tweak the alert notifications for slightly lower percentage gains to determine if that creates more opportunity for trades and in turn greater gains.

Etoro referrals earn users $50 when a new account is opened from a referral link.  Referrals may total up to $500.
