Right now in America, millions are facing evictions and household income failures due to the mishandling of the Pandemic. While many had to miss work, others haven't been to work at all since many of the business closures throughout the country.
Amazingly enough though, those struggling to get by have developed some interesting ways to raise funds using Twitter and Facebook, asking for donations via Paypal, Venmo, Cashapp and even the Crypto Community.
I should know, just a couple of days ago I was told by my employer that they would not take responsibility for me contracting Covid, even though an employee who I had worked side-by-side with came down with it and was hospitalized. He even admitted to knowing he was exposed for 3 weeks but chose to not disclose that information until after getting sick.
I brought Covid home to my family because of this person and unwittingly gave it to everyone in my household.
Myself, my wife and 5 children, ages 3-18 all came down with the virus. I missed 6 weeks of work because of it and had to spend every dime we had saved plus investments just to get by.
I returned to work just 2 weeks ago, and because of how buisness declined, my hours were shorter than normal. Which then created an even worse hardship, because I couldn't earn enough to make ends me or get caught up.
So I started trying to raise funds. We had to and didn't have a choice.
The political system that should have saved Americans from needing to resort to asking for help, failed to help people.
Just as much as I'm reaching out, I'm also trying to get a point across. Crypto is helping people survive the hardships.
PIVX stepped up and through their Social Media Manager Leacy Mick, made a 40$ donation to help me with gas. Another person sent us 35$ in XRP to help with food. It was less troublesome than using Gofundme and it was painless for me to swap the coins and add money to Crypto.com's Debit Card or directly to my bank using Coinbase.
We are 1,800.00USD short on all of our bills and hope to make our two months rent payment and pay our electric with help from the community of Crypto.

While some people frown upon people asking for help, especially from America while so many other countries are ravished, please remember that where we live doesn't matter in this space and a man reaching out for help, shouldn't be judged based on his nationality. So take a good look around our communities and try to help. There are plenty of good people in the Crypto space needing help besides me, so take some time looking around. You might save someone from homelessness.
