Binance Charity Foundation (BCF), the philanthropic arm of the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider, Binance, has raised an impressive 2,585 BTC so far.
The above funds have been used for various causes around the globe with Africa becoming one of the largest beneficiaries of these donations.

A look at some of the places and areas where the funds have been deployed provides a glimpse into the amazing work and effort being done by the blockchain-enabled charity organisation (BCF) across Africa.
Lunch for Children Program (Uganda)
The Lunch for Children program has so far been able to help over 10 schools across Uganda while supporting over 3,700 students and staff in Kampala and Jinja.
Each beneficiary was provided with a mobile crypto wallet where they received a daily crypto donation of $0.3 in BNB for each meal.
The total donation was $236,061.
#SewMasksForAll Campaign to Empower Women (Kenya)
In partnership with Tech+Love Foundation, BINANCE Charity sourced and donated sewing machines to empower Kenyan women through the creation of job opportunities.
The sewing machines were distributed and adequately utilized by these women for the production of face masks which were sold for profit, helping to feed thousands through the ‘Mama To The Rescue Food Drive.’
Binance Charity raised and donated $5,000 to source and donate the sewing machines to 20 women.
Covid Vaccines for Africa
Binance initiated the Crypto Against Covid effort to support hospitals and institutions around the world to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic over an 8-month period.
The initiative saw over $4 million donated out of which, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa received a share of that donation in form of KN95 masks and PPE suits distributed across various hospitals. Ghana received 20,000 KN95 masks, South Africa received 15,000 PPE suits & 9,600 KN95 masks and Nigeria received 30,400 KN95 masks.
Following this, Binance donated $1 million to support UNICEF’s role in delivering more than 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to communities in 11 countries. The African countries that benefited from this donation include: Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda and Egypt.
Pink Care Token Project (Uganda)
Binance Charity initiated the Pink Care Token charity drive to sponsor feminine hygiene products for young women in underdeveloped world who are not able to afford them.
The program helped over 1,000,000 girls globally.
