I am going to go ahead and say that some people will like my opinion while others will hate it.
I have used the BRAVE Browser for over a year now and have been paying closer and closer to how they interact with the community. Now I have only ever had an issue with my payouts in September when everyone did. Since I had read about the ads before hand of campaigns as they are called it talked about how there was X money to go around. Logically it made sense that once this money was out there would be no ads and how geographic areas changed the ads available to you.
People or the community it turned out hated this with a burning passion. They wanted there 5 ads an hour no matter the cost and boy was it huge.
I went from making an easy $10 a month with my two computers to $0.58. People wanted more ads so they gave them more and cut the reward amount dramatically. I personally enjoyed the lack of ads as they were no issue to me now though the sheer amount is really getting to be over the top. Since I was using the money I made from Brave to fund investments in crypto this was a huge blow to my ability to fund it.
I understand people wanted the ads as they wanted the BAT however people also need to logically approach this. They torched a pretty easy system and made it to the point of a bunch of ads because the crazy stuff that was being said about them on the Community page made them cave. It just is a further example of the drawbacks of the mob rule mentality and the damage it can cause.
We as humans as people have to start paying attention and being smarter. We literally punished ourselves with the stuff that was said to the Brave Team. I’ve heard about this happening in other crypto projects too and while I understand input and feedback is great limits have to be made. As the saying goes “this is why we cannot have nice things” really fits in here.
I really hope people calm down and back off the team now. Brave is a fantastic secure browser for people to use at a minimum. The BAT is a bonus neither you nor I deserve but are given for using the browser. Brave could just take like the others but they aren’t and try and reward to. We as either users or people in crypto/blockchain need to get out act in line.
