Ripple’s partner MoneyGram and Uber are going to be working together in order to face the current COVID-19 crisis. In a recent press release, MoneyGram International informed that they will be providing drivers and delivery countries a discount on digital money transfers. This includes the funds that are sent to family and friends in 200 countries.
Uber and MoneyGram Work Together
With the new partnership with MoneyGram, Uber drivers that use the company’s platforms would be able to get a discount for their transfers abroad. The new partnership would be taking effect in the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. In the future, it may be extended to other places. The platforms that are going to be supported include the Driver app, Uber Eats, Uber Freight and Uber Works.

MoneyGram is not the first time that works with a recognized company such as Uber. They are also serving millions of individuals around the world that run their direct-to-consumer digital business.
It is worth mentioning that the Coronavirus crisis has affected a large part of the population around the world. Millions of individuals in the aforementioned countries have already been affected by the virus. In addition to it, economies have been severely affected by the expansion of the virus and due to the way in which governments pushed for lockdowns. This has created a deep recession that is expected to be the worse in the world since WWII.
MoneyGram is a company that is helping firms and individuals to make money across borders. This makes it possible for families that live with remittances to have cheap and fast cross-border transfers in 200 countries around the world. The company has already partnered with Ripple in order to use the XRP digital asset for certain fiat currency corridors that are not efficient.
Ripple is offering services to companies with its RippleNet platform and the XRP cryptocurrency, which is currently one of the largest in the world. Ripple has been working in order to help financial institutions and organizations to reduce the cost of sending and receiving cross-border payments by using the XRP digital asset.
