I wrote yesterday and asked the question if BINANCE was the next crypto exchange to crumble. Again, I like to challenge things and to think about things openly. Do I think it will happen, no, but could it, yes,  I don't want it to happen, but it does not matter what I want.

I was unaware until yesterday about he possible criminal charges against Binance and it's leaders. Apparently they have been under investigation since 2018 regarding the "AML" or Anti-Money Laundering laws.  This article outlines it well in my opinion: https://fortune.com/crypto/2022/12/12/binance-investigation-stalls-doj-disagrees/

This is a really important topic for the overall wellbeing and future of cryptocurrency. I am not sure why there is a subset of people who like cryptocurrency who do not like someone brining up such questions.  We need more questioning, this will lead to health and real growth. We don't need more fantasy regarding cryptocurrency. We don't need more salespeople ripping people off. We need honesty and accountability.

The split among prosecutors appears to be whether the US DOJ should charge now with the evidence already collected, or if it should pursue further evidence.  Is it posturing? Is it real?  I am not sure.

Regardless of whether there is a "there" there, this is a big deal and will shape the future of cryptocurrency.
