Ledger have announced that you can now buy Crypto directly through the LEDGER Live App using your credit card or bank transfer. This new feature is made possible thanks to a partnership/integration with Coinify. You will initially be able to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Dash. Stellar and USDT will be available soon.
For some people Buying/selling Crypto directly on your hardware wallet will be a game changer. You can avoid buying Crypto from exchanges and then transferring funds to your hardware wallet. With this feature you only need one place to buy, secure and manage your crypto. This could be the best option for safety conscious investors. On the other hand, the fees are 4.5% for credit card users and 1.7% for bank transfers. These are much higher than on some exchanges which will put off many people.
I own a Ledger Nano X and having the option to buy Crypto through Ledger Live is an exciting proposition. However, I will wait and see if Ledger drop their fees.
