This week’s top 10 blockchain games ranking reveals REVV Racing as an unexpected top performer. The REVV ecosystem suffered a serious blow as the F1 Delta Time license wasn’t renewed, and the game had to close down. Despite this, or possibly inspired by the tumultuous events, the ecosystem’s native token REVV gained over 13% in valuation in the past seven days.

Aside from the racing world flocking to REVV Racing, this week’s ranking reveals that virtual worlds are gaining back some of their strength. On the backdrop of a rather bearish climate in the crypto space, virtual worlds The Sandbox, Decentraland, and WorldWideWebb all make the cut this week.

REVV Racing speeds on following F1 Delta Time demise

The surprising announcement that F1 Delta Time closed down pushed activity for REVV Racing. The ecosystem’s native token REVV gained 13% in value in the past week. According to DappRadar coverage, a noticeable spike in REVV Racing activity might be due to the fact that F1 Delta Time players switched games, and moved to the REVV Racing platform.

Chainmonsters makes it to the top of the chart this week, as the game announced the upcoming beta Phase 2 which will be open to all players. The Sandbox draws in institutional players

Virtual world The Sandbox climbs the charts as well, thanks to an announcement that international bank HSBC has purchased a land plot in the game. This is an important step towards the mainstream adoption of virtual worlds like The Sandbox. On the other hand, some crypto enthusiasts are outraged that a centralized banking institution has dared to step a foot into the world of decentralization and blockchain technology. Either way, HSBC’s move into The Sandbox has boosted the platform’s performance this week.

Alien Worlds drops four places from last week’s top spot

Last week’s leader Alien Worlds has found itself entering in fifth place this week as its native token TLM lost about 2.3% of its valuation in the past week. Despite the drop, the platform attracted over 240,000 unique active wallets in the past seven days, boosting its stats and ranking as the most visited dapp on the Wax blockchain.

BSC-based NFT farming game Mobox ranks sixth this week. Following the announcement of a new mini-game last week, in the past seven days, Mobox enjoyed the lasting effects of the novelty factor. Decentraland now allows players to preview wearables directly into the marketplace, giving them a chance to make an informed choice before purchasing. Additionally, the platform generated more than $3.7 million in NFT trading volume in the past seven days.

REVV Racing will carry the F1 Delta Time legacy

The announcement that F1 Delta Time will cease to exist came like a lightning strike to fans of the game. Unfortunately, Animoca Brands did not manage to renew its license to use the F1 brand, which meant that the platform had to close down immediately.

Significant waves of dissatisfaction arose after the announcement, as players have invested more than $110,000 in the platform in the past 90 days. However, Animoca Brands has ensured that it will introduce mechanisms to reimburse affected players. Furthermore, F1 Delta Time players can redeem their NFTs for a Race Pass, giving them access to future NFT mints and airdrops in REVV Racing. In this sense, the spike in activity for REVV Racing is expected, as the majority of the F1 Delta Time fanbase switched over to Animoca Brands’ other racing game.
