Celebrity NFTs are increasingly annoying us as D-grade celebs unload bland non-fungible tokens of nothings onto us.

But this might just be the real deal – celeb NFTs worth having. Rolling Stone Photographer Bonnie Schiffman has just launched her own collection of NFTs. Named ‘Bonnieverse NFTs’ they reside on OpenSea and are a fascinating look into her job as a celeb snapper.

Celebrity NFTs and iconic photos

For over 40 years, Bonnie Schiffman has photographed icons. People like Steve Jobs, Robin Williams, Muhammad Ali, Michael Jackson, Betty White, and Jerry Seinfeld.

Schiffman has decided to debut her art in the metaverse. Her snapshots are now an NFT collection on OpenSea. These have never been seen by the public before now.

Schiffman said, “Trying to capture a personal moment in the lives of famous people is not easy. There’s always a trust factor involved.”

Schiffman would start her photoshoots with a good lunch at her Los Angeles home studio. This was to foster a deep connection with her celebrity subjects.

“Bonnie understands funny people,” said comedian Billy Crystal. “In one picture, in a split second, Bonnie got all of it. She caught a side of me that is more revealing than any other portraits I have.”

Shiffman’s NFT collection also includes rare never-before-seen Polaroid photos of celebrities. They often capture intimate and even bizarre moments. In one, a young Neil Patrick Harris is seen playfully giving the photographer the middle finger. Along with his parents.

The NFT collection features rare Polaroids, answering machine messages, personalized letters, photo scans, and proof sheets of famous figures.
