Splinterlands BattleMage Secrets Weekly Challenge - Little League

Hello SPLINTERLANDS Summoners! Welcome to another edition of Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge. For this week, it's Little League: Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles. I must admit that this is challenging for me since I have few strong cards with 4 Mana or less. Sometimes I also get overpowered as the difference in power between my cards and maxed level cards are more obvious in low mana battles. This battle though is different.

The Ruleset

Little League - Only Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles.

Lost Legendaries - Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.

Available Splinters - Fire, Light and Dragon

Max Mana - 30

In this battle I chose the Fire Splinter since I have high level cards low mana cards in Fire. I also have the neutral cards Xenith Monk and Uraeus that can take advantage of Tarsa's +1 Melee attack buff.

Tarsa Summoner gives +1 Melee attack and +1 Heart to all Monsters.

Xenith Monk is a decent tank for 4 Mana. It deals 3 Melee damage and has 8 Hearts (with Tarsa). It has 4 Speed and the Heal ability which makes it last longer in battle.

Venari Spellsmith in second position. I must admit I included this because there is not much choice. My cards that has 4 Mana or less is limited. I usually use this card with Cursed Windeku in the Death Splinter to take advantage of its Amplify ability.

Uraeus in third position. It will deal 3 Melee damage and has the Poison ability.

Scavo Firebolt in the fourth position. Seems a no-brainer to include this as it deals 3 Ranged damage and has 4 Speed. It has no abilities though.

Lava Spider in fifth position. It deals 2 Ranged damage and has the Snipe ability.

Clockwork Aide in the sixth and final position. This will absorb damage from enemy Sneak attackers and also has the Swiftness ability to give +1 Speed to all monsters.

The Opponent

My opponent chose the Dragon/Light Splinter. His team is quite good with a decent tank and a healer. His damage dealers are three Sneak attackers: Uraeus, Stitch Leech and Dhampir Infiltrator. He also has the Clockwork Aide at the back.

The Battle

Here's the link of the battle: https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_2ca64fcc32cb9d6e5771b0710097a4bf&ref=logen9f

My opponent's team has better synergy than mine. Each card he chose does its role well and complemented each other while mine seems to be hodge-podge of cards doing their own thing. In short, I got outplayed by a better player.

Bonus Battle

Here's a battle that I won but I didn't choose this to present in this blog because there was not much thought and strategy put into it due to the limited choices presented by the ruleset. I won but it was not much fun.
